Mouse Classic - the general-purpose pack

The default mouse pack is designed to match most keyboard soundpacks without overpowering them. It's a clean, medium- pitched click that reads as "mouse" but isn't harsh. If you don't want to think about mouse sounds, this is the one to use.

Mouse Tactile - for click-heavy work

Tactile is a slightly punchier, more pronounced click. It's the sound of a higher-end gaming mouse, with a small mechanical snap. It works especially well if you do a lot of precise clicking - design work, code editing, CAD, or anything where you're clicking constantly.

Best for: Gaming, precision work, and users who want more feedback from the mouse. Feel: Crisp, mechanical, assertive.

Mouse Silent - for shared spaces

Silent is a soft, muted version that's tuned to sit below your keyboard sounds. It's not completely silent - it's a quiet, low-volume click that reads as a soft "tick." Great for late-night use, shared offices, or when you're on a call.

Best for: Quiet environments, shared spaces, and low-volume setups. Feel: Subtle, soft, unobtrusive.

Pairing mouse and keyboard packs

The best-sounding setups usually pair a sharper keyboard pack with a softer mouse pack, or vice versa. The goal is contrast without competition. A few combinations that work well:

Cherry MX Blue + Mouse Classic. The keyboard is the star, the mouse supports it without fighting for attention.

Gateron Yellow + Mouse Tactile. Soft keyboard, punchy mouse - the contrast makes both feel more deliberate.

Typewriter + Mouse Silent. The typewriter pack has heavy, satisfying keys. A quiet mouse sound keeps the theme without overloading it.

ASMR + Mouse Silent. Both are tuned for calm. Works well if you're using Mechro as background ambience.

Adjusting mouse volume

Mechro gives mouse sounds their own volume slider, separate from the keyboard. This is the feature that makes the mix controllable. If your mouse clicks feel too loud relative to your typing, drop them without lowering the keyboard. Most users end up with mouse volume slightly lower than keyboard volume - around 60-70% of the keyboard level.
